Herbal Tinctures

A tincture is a concentrated herbal extract made by soaking plant material in a solvent like alcohol to extract the beneficial compounds. This traditional herbal medicine is a potent, shelf stable liquid taken in small doses and is one of the most efficient ways to deliver plant-based remedies into the body.

We make our tinctures with native plants we forage right on our homestead, including:

• Sweetgum: The shikimic acid in these balls works to shorten the duration and severity of viral symptoms.  

• Usnea: This tincture uses a double extraction method to make usnea, a native lichen, into a powerful antimicrobial remedy. 

• Elderberry: Our organically grown elderberries create an extract that is an anti-viral and anti-inflammatory antioxidant and can help with illness, allergies, and more. 

• Wild Cherry Bark: This remedy relieves symptoms of respiratory distress, including coughs. It also aids digestion and promotes sleep among other benefits.  

Tinctures are shelf stable for many years at room temperature. They prefer storage away from sunlight and temperature fluctuations.
